After Flowers was conceived in June of 2005, when Sheryl and Charlene met as part timers at a florist. Having discovered Sheryl's interest in earring making, Charlene, who at the time was just starting out in the same hobby, offered to do a joint earring project.

When it came to naming the site, Sheryl suggested that they name the site after flowers because they had met in a florist. This Charlene took literally. As such, the name was born. The site was designed and html-ised by Charlene, but planning and earring creating are a collective and valiant effort.

Charlene is a 20 year old girl whose interests include reading, graphic and web design, listening to music and watching movies. She is currently embarking on a degree in Literature. Favourite things include Murakami, Kings of Convenience and the colours turquoise, green and all sorts of purples.

Sheryl, a 21 yr old girl, is currently pursuing a degree in Life Sciences. However, her interests are greatly varied, from art, music to sports. She enjoys shopping, especially for shoes and accessories. One can never have too much of either, right! Fetishes at the moment include bracelets, strawberry ice-cream, Jeanette Winterson, frogs and all other things green.
